December 20th

It has been a busy few months here at Project Torque HQ. With the help of several people we have finally passed Steam verification and have a release date set for the 20th of December.
If we can release a few days earlier, we will.

It has taken quite a bit of work to get to this stage, and we know you all have been waiting a long time to get the full game released on Steam.

We would like to thank everyone who played during the open and closed beta. Your valuable feedback on the game, economy and physics has been noted and hopefully we can fix all the issues you have brought up.

Backers of the crowdfund should receive keys that will gift them their rewards. We will be giving out GP and Boosters, with other rewards being made available when they are available.

Please do go add the game to your Steam wish list. You will get notified when we release the game.

High Resolution and Widescreen support

We have added support to Project Torque to allow higher resolutions and wide screen support.

Originally Project Torque maxed out at 1920×1080 and there was no wide screen support (wider than 16:9). We have enabled the game to render standard screen resolutions up to 5K. Players with high resolution monitors will be able to select in the settings the resolution they would like to play at. Support for 21:9 resolutions have also been added.

Resolutions above 1080 do result in some UI elements rendering a lot smaller than they typically would under “stock” resolutions. Some menu drop down options also become hard to read. We will work on fixing these issues at a later date.

Performance is very good. Nvidia GTX 1080 at 1920×1080 use to get 180-200fps. In UHD you can expect to get around 75fps.

The videos bellow demonstrate the new high resolution features.

More news to come!

It has been a busy few weeks here. Stuff is happening but Invictus is at Gamescom this year so that will be 1-2 weeks of no news I am afraid.

Hold tight as we work on the new website, listing the game on Steam and more.

Be sure to check out our Facebook page if you have not already Liked it! https://www.facebook.com/ProjectTorqueRacing/

Crowdfund live!

So we have been working hard to get to this stage and today we launch our crowd fund.
Instead of using IndieGoGo or Kickstarter, we are running it on our website to make this easier, faster and better for everyone.

Check it out here, https://projecttorque.racing/product/project-torque/

You will be able to donate with a PayPal account, Credit or Debit card and later this week, Bitcoin.

We need to raise $10,000 in total for the publishing rights to the game. This fee goes directly to Invictus who will then be working on the game builds and will deliver us a working game within a few weeks.
We have set the crowdfund for 60 days. Hopefully, it only takes a few weeks.
If we do no reach 50% in 30 days though we will stop the crowdfund and refund all the money.
Any funds raised on top of this publishing fee will go into development and running costs.

Thank you for being apart of this amazing project. Hopefully, we will see you on the race track soon.
